The blade width is automatically compensated for and units can be displayed in both English and Metric units on a large, backlit, LCD display. It is powered by 2 AA batteries (not included). It can work on both the left side and right side of the saw fence and digitizes any measurements taken on your miter saw, chop saw, or band saw.
